Anne Nelson

Anne Nelson is a prize-winning author and journalist. She won the Livingston Award for best international reporting from the Philippines. She has served as the Director of the Committee to Protect Journalists and the director of the international program at the Columbia School of Journalism. Her work has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, NPR, and the BBC. She is currently a research fellow at Columbia’s School of International and Public Affairs, specializing in media systems. Anne is originally from Oklahoma.
